Visitor Safety Registration

Visitors are able to attend 2 club events for free. The visitor must join the club to attend additional events. 

• I am aware that my voluntary participation in any club event may expose me to risk that could lead to injury, illness or death or to loss of or damage to my property.
• I acknowledge that I take part in these events entirely at my own risk.
• I will satisfy myself that any event I undertake is within my capabilities.
• I will advise any leader if I am taking any medication or have any physical or other
• limitation that might affect my participation in that event.
• I will make every effort to remain with the rest of the party during any event and undertake to follow all reasonable leader directions.
• I recognise that club events can be dangerous and that things may not go according to plan. In particular when participating in abseiling or above the snowline events I acknowledge I may be exposed to additional hazards or risks.
• I will always carry food, water and equipment and will wear sturdy enclosed footwear appropriate for the event.
• In an emergency situation I agree to pay all expenses that may be incurred on my behalf.
• If I am accompanied by a child of whom I am the parent or guardian I acknowledge that I will obtain consent from the event leader for the child to participate and that I will take full resp9nsibiity for the child I will write the child’s name and date of birth and sign for the child on the visitors form for the event (insurance obligation).
• I have read and understood the risks and obligations set out here and accept that in signing this form I am waiving my rights to sue the leader, individuals in the club, the Gold Coast Bushwalkers Club Inc and other participants.
• I agree that my contract arising from my participation will exclude any liability arising from the supply of goods or services by the event leader.
• I agree to indemnify all event leaders and all other club members against any loss or damage which may be sustained by them as a result of or in connection with my participation in any club event.
• I accept that by signing this form I am taking responsibility for my own actions.
