VALE Ron Quickenden

It is with deep sadness, that we inform our members, of the passing of our cherished co-founder of The Gold Coast Bushwalkers, Ron Quickenden.

Ron passed away at home, surrounded by his family, after an illness, he was 94.

Ron has left a lasting legacy for all our members, as our club continues to prosper, and it's thanks to Ron that we all get to enjoy the many activities that have developed over the years and were the brainchild of this wonderful man. His love of bushwalking, will live on.

He attended our special 50th celebrations, last year as well as our Christmas party, and enjoyed it so much, we are very grateful he was able to attend.

We will miss him very much.

As per Ron's wishes, no service will be held.
