Ride sharing Contribution tool

The ride-sharing contribution has not changed since 2020 and with the recent volatility in fuel costs, the committee decided to review current contributions. To ensure our drivers are fairly reimbursed and costs are shared equally, please use this official calculator to determine your trip contribution.

1. How to Access the Tool

Website: Go to the Home Page → Resources → Ride Sharing Contributions.

Member Jungle App: Tap the Ride Sharing Contributions button on your dashboard.

2. How to Calculate Your Contribution

The committee maintains the current fuel prices and service costs. You only need to update these four fields to get your total:

Engine Type: Select Petrol or Diesel or electric.

Vehicle Size: Select Med/Small or Large.

Total Contributors: Enter the total number of people in the car, including the driver.

Other Distance (Optional): If your destination isn't on the list, enter the total Return Kilometres here.

3. Your Result

Find your destination in the table. The "Contribution Per Person" column shows exactly what each person (including the driver) should pay.

Note: The driver is a contributor to the costs. If it is just a driver and one passenger, the total trip cost is split 50/50.

The actual contribution will depend on the type of vehicle available and the number of people contributing on the day.

The electric vehicle fuel price is 50% of the petrol price. 

On Android devices, the pull-down menu selection options for Engine Type and Vehicle size appear at the bottom of the screen.
