We will base ourselves Friday and Saturday nights at the extensive campground of Charlie Moreland.  There are 2 fun but challenging days of rock hopping, swimming, bouldering and clambering waterfalls, to be enjoyed.

And a Halloween dinner/dress-up for Saturday night.
Prepare your most macabre recipe.  Trick or treat to your heart's content.

There is more. The campsite and the Halloween dinner/dress-up will have another group of trick or treaters present.
Brisbane Bushwalkers have already scheduled their annual creek hopping extravaganza for the same weekend.
I have asked them if it would be OK to double up on the BC events but walk in reverse order to minimize impact on the terrain and slowing down each group..
So it will be a double date. So to speak.

To ensure that we do not literally step on each other's toes with an extra large group we will be exploring the creeks in the reverse order to our friends at BBW.

Summer Creek is the Sunday expedition.  It offers picturesque pools for swimming, moderate rockhopping, a spectacular swim through gorge & a slightly scary waterfall to navigate.  A tape will be carried in case conditions on the day require one. There are optional challenge boulders and rock faces all the way along, over water, so we are not rushing.  Very few have completed all of the challenges.  Sit and watch, or give it a go.

Booloumba Creek will be our Saturday excursion.  A common carpark without a shuttle, starting and finishing at Booloumba Falls, although 4wds are normally needed to get there. Starting with a few kms along the eastern side of the Conondale Great Walk then into the creek at Artists Cascades.  Hop and scramble up the creek from there. Swim through a narrow pool into the waterfall at the base of the Breadknife rock formation then walk back up to the carpark.  Scramble up the Breadknife track while you wait.

With waterflow this is one of the best rockhopping adventures in the known universe, so take your time to enjoy the optional T6/T7 sections. There are a few rather high jumps still to be tested.  Bring goggles so we can first check out the pools below.

Don't forget.  Let's do Halloween style share food dinner Saturday night!

Prizes for the best decorated tent & best Saturday night costumes.

Day packs will need to be water proofed both days for swim throughs.
Look at the photos from previous years to get an idea of the swims and climbs.

Recent experience at both T5 and T6 is a must to complete the weekend challenges.
If not on your profile email me your history please.
It may be possible to avoid some of the obstacles but certainly not all of them.
Each day finishes with a mandatory swim-thru and waterfall climb.

**Please make your own camping bookings at Charlie Moreland Camp Ground**
