BC Montville Base Camp with a difference

Base camp with a difference at Montville.  At the Montville Holiday Apartments.  Preference given firstly to those who missed out last time.

This is a more social than hard walking camp.

Day 1 Arrive..we will drive to The Barn at Flaxton and do a short road walk from there looking at the views from the Blackall range, then back to the barn for afternoon tea - yummy Devonshire tea plus other goodies.  Back to our accommodation for happy hour about 5pm.

Day 2..Drive to Maleny Botanical Gardens and walk around there.  Cafe on site.  The area is a steep site so bring poles, walks as you desire.  Then back to Maleny for the Maleny walk in the afternoon - platypus spotting if they are out and enjoying autumn colours.

Day 3..Drive to Kenilworth, stopping at Fig tree walk then cheese factory and exploring Kenilworth. Back via Mapleton Falls and will do the short walk there and if time explore Montville.

Day 4..Pack up and start home

If you register can you please let me know if you are willing to drive. The accommodation is 2 bdm queen room and 2 single beds..full sized kitchen and lounge..Log fires

Cost is $190 per person with 3 in an apartment..this includes entry to the gardens and $20 towards petrol going to Kenilworth and back.

If you came last time and would like to come again..let me know rather than register and I'll fit you in if spaces don't fill up.
