Easter Camp at Girraween National Park
Girraween National Park is Located in the Darling Downs on the Queensland, New South Wales border via Warwick, 35km south of Stanthorpe on the New England Highway.
A Spectacular National Park, Girraween (which means “place of flowers”) has incredible massive granite boulders, cascades, numerous walking tracks and abundant wildlife, a very special place.
Our camp will be in the Castle Rock campsite on the central grass section (tent sites available) van sites also available, close by.
Arrival: Good Friday or before if you wish, time to set up, check out the campground, we will have happy hour each afternoon after the walks, before dinner.
Depending on numbers, walks are open for discussion, you may choose to do all walks or have a relaxing day.
Amenities: Toilets, ( shower cubicles available for a solar shower)no other showers, picnic tables.
There is an information office at the entrance to the park.
What to bring: A great sense of adventure, but you will also need tent, chair, table, cooking equipment, drinking water (there are taps for washing up) your food and drink for the weekend, nibbles to share at happy hour. Backpack with first aid equipment, torch, warm clothing (in case)raincoat and a camera, as the views are fantastic.
Book early directly with National parks as it is popular at Easter, on the website or by calling 137468, you will need to put your booking information on your tent or vehicle.
