OT M T4 F4 Mount May
Meet at the Mount May car park Waterfall Creek Reserve Campground for an 8 am departure. Some of us will be camping 10th to 11th Oct at Lake Moogerah (book online or 07 5540 5600). If you are camping -a site can take a couple of tents under the one booking
We will ascend via a rough foot pad. The start is steep and requires a constant level of fitness. We will navigate up and over some of the various cliff areas before reaching the first saddle. We will have a short break and enjoy the view before heading across the saddle, down and then back up the next peak. Nothing too technical and suitable for someone who has not done a lot of off track walking. It's also fun for the experienced off track hiker. This is a nice walk with some great views from all directions. Once we are on the last peak we will have views south to Mount Barney range as well as back out to Maroon. The return will be decided on the day depending on the group and weather
If you don't have a lot of off track experience, please ring the leader for confirmation.
All off track gear required. First aid, long pants or gaiters, gloves if required, plenty of water and food for the day
