POSTPONED DW S T3F3 Brisbane City Walk
This is a discovery tour of Brisbane. Plan to catch the train to Roma Street, Brisbane to ARRIVE at 9.27am.
I will be boarding the train at Helensvale at 8.24am (Nerang 8.19am). There is always train maintenance work on the weekend and those registered will be advised if there are any changes to the departure time.
We will visit the spectacular gardens at the Roma Street Parklands, step back into the past in the Grand Foyer of the Regent Theatre, discover the wonderful statue of St Mary MacKillop, sculptured from a huge camphor laurel tree, visit the world’s largest interactive learning and display spaces at QUT and revisit the past at Old Government House which also hosts a gallery of expressionist painter William Robinson.
Lunch at Southbank, take your own or buy at any of the cafes around the lagoon area. The plan is to leave South Bank Station around 3.00pm for our journey home.
Depart: Helensvale Station 8.24am (will be in the last train carriage) - or adjust to get this train from your station - arrives Roma Street Station at 9.27am.
