The walk will start at 8am from Karloo Street, Chevron Island. There is plenty of parking behind the shops.
We'll walk over the bridge to the beach. As the tide will be out, we can beach walk to Broadbeach. We will stop for coffee at the Art Gallery, have a leisurely look at the paintings etc and return to the cars on the path.

BC Woodenbong base camp for off-trackers
Woodenbong
Base camp for off-trackers to climb some less visited peaks in the Woodenbong area, about 2 hours from the Gold Coast. Camp at Woodenbong campground which is $5 per night for an unpowered site with hot showers available. A few powered sites available too. We’ll walk on Saturday and Sunday, with exact walks to be decided closer to the date. Some require a 4WD to get to the starting point so will be determined by group. Options include South Obelisk, North Obelisk, Edinburgh Castle and Bald Knob. ...
