DW L T3F4 Prison Farm to Binna Burra

Starting just south of the prison farm in the Numinbah Valley, we follow the track which passes between Egg and Turtle Rocks, After crossing Nixon’s Creek, we commence a long steep climb, then have a good rest at the top for morning tea. Continuing along the track, we reach the Information Centre. at Binna Burra.  From here we can either walk Caves Circuit ending up at the new reception centre and having lunch on the grass there, then retracing our steps, but if the consensus is to return from the Information Centre, we can walk back from there and stop for lunch on Nixon Creek on the way down.  Including Caves Circuit, the distance is approximately 19kms.  It is a great day walk and suitable for fit members who enjoy a good work out.
