
DW L T2F3 Tweed Valley Rail Trail
Our walk in northern NSW passes through landscapes of lush tropical settings to local farm life. We pass over many bridges on this 20 kilometre easy flat walk. We also walk through a 500 metre tunnel, so PLEASE BRING A TORCH.
This former rail trail is flat and mostly shaded but bring hat, water and morning tea and lunch. Always pack the first aid kit. Our destination is Burringbar,10 kms down the track where we will have morning tea in the park. Shops and coffee available. We then return to Stokers Siding for lunch. Shops coffee, toilet available.
Options are available in the area if you wish to do a shorter walk or perhaps visit the Murwillumbah Regional Art Gallery.
Meet Elsie Laver carpark, Mudgeerabah for 7.30 departure. $10 car contribution OR please let me know if driving direct to Stokers for 8.15 departure.
