DW M T3 F3 Upper Ballunjui Falls

Distance—12km (return on the same track)

Time—4hr approx.

We’ll start off towards Dave’s Creek, but deviate left at the junction near the seat and giant New England Blackbutt. On this walk, we will pass through temperate forest following Nixon Creek visiting  Nagarigoon Falls, Booboora Falls and Ballunjui cascades. Morning tea will be on the last creek crossing before the top of Upper Ballunjui Falls. We may take a 600m return to Guraigumai Rock and either lunch at Tullawallal or back near Binna Burra Teahouse.

The pace will be moderate, enjoying the different vegetation types and waterfalls (especially if there’s been some rain as they are generally low volume falls and cascades).

Bring and wear the necessary and appropriate gear.

Departure: Vince Hinde Park, Nerang 7:30am (or Elsie Laver Park for the usual group if someone would like to coordinate cars from there)
