DW M T3F3 Toolona Circuit
Waterfalls and stunning Antarctic Beech are the features of this 17.5km walk. The walk will not be fast paced and there will be time to take photographs and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We descend to Picnic Rock, maybe a detour to the beautiful Elabana Falls (optional rock hopping) and probably morning tea at the next creek crossing. We continue to follow Toolona Creek upstream with its cascades, creek crossings & spectacular waterfalls. After leaving the subtropical rainforest, we enter the cool temperate Antarctic Beech Forest. After lunch under the Beech trees at Wanungra Lookout we follow the Border Track back to O’Reilly’s for afternoon tea. Don’t forget afternoon tea, a coat, plenty of water including electrolytes, all essential items, wet weather gear, leech repellent, poles for creek crossings and wear covered waterproof footwear.
