Bushwalking

Our club runs many diverse types of walks which are graded according to their difficulty as per the (* Walking Grades).

These walks are led by experienced members who ensure that the walks are enjoyable and safe.

Walks can be short ones on tracks, to longer ones that may include scrambling, to serious climbs on our highest mountains.

The Club has many day walks, off-track walks, through walks, evening walks and weekend camps allowing members to really appreciate our country. We walk all over SE Queensland and further afield, including Northern NSW, the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, the Victorian High Country, the Grampians, the Cape to Cape in Western Australia.

The club has also had walks in New Zealand, Japan, Scotland, and England.

Before joining a walk, you should review the New Members Guide.

The club has a collection of local area maps that can be lent to club members. They are normally held by the Offtrack coordinator. Also, scanned sections of maps can be sent by email to members. Contact the Offtrack coordinator if you want to borrow a map. Click here for a list of available maps.

Bushwalking Queensland (BWQ) - Bushwalk Database.  The bush walks database has walks mainly in South East Queensland but covers all of Australia. This database has been compiled by members of bushwalking clubs affiliated with Bushwalking Queensland Inc and from other sources. Each walk in the database has a route description, a topographic map with the walk route overlain and a GPS file in (.gpx format). The database is password protected, but it is open to members of approved bushwalking clubs.
